Chasing the Olympic dream.

Jonny has worked for McMillan running since 2012, sharing his own passion for the sport with new and experienced runners alike.

Jonny ran Division I Cross-Country and Track & Field at the University of Richmond (VA) under the guidance of Steve Taylor. In 2010, he helped the Spiders earn the program’s first Atlantic 10 Conference title and first NCAA Championship appearance. Upon graduating in 2011, Jonny began seeking out the many different training programs and philosophies of successful coach’s and elite athletes in an effort to become the best possible distance runner he could. He became intrigued by Greg McMillan’s work published in Running Times Magazine and followed Greg’s 10k build-up training to “The Best 10k Workout,” as well as Greg’s “Workouts for Your Better Half (Marathon)” to help lead him to big PR’s in both events.

Shortly after these races, Jonny visited Flagstaff to get a taste of altitude training and met Greg for the first time. Six months later, Jonny joined McMillan Running to coach under Greg and share his passion for the sport with runners, new and old, all over the world to empower them to accomplish their goals and chase down their dreams. Jonny is continuing to run and is focusing on longer distances.
