Shanarae Goodwin joined McMillan Running in 2016 as the Marketing Director.

Shanarae is passionate about both running and digital marketing.

She has over 20 years experience across both consumer and B2B marketing and has spent the last 10 years working in digital at large corporations and small startups including UnitedHealthcare, Deloitte, and The History Project.

Shanarae holds an MBA from the University of San Francisco and lives in San Francisco with her husband and their two cats.

In 2015 she reached a long-time goal of getting accepted for the Boston Marathon. As part of running the Boston Marathon that year she decided to also compete in the Boston 2 Big Sur Challenge where she ran the Big Sur Marathon six days later.

She’s been an avid runner for many years and enjoys training and racing especially at the marathon and half marathon distances – having completed six marathons and over two dozen half marathons. She finds that race training and marketing have a lot in common… Both are best if you follow a well-established plan and track your progress carefully along the way.
