Life happens and we understand. Your camp payment is 100% refundable up to 60 days before the camp date. If you have to cancel within 60 days of your camp, all but $100 is refundable.
What does the camp entail?
A detailed camp schedule is emailed to all campers prior to the camp but the highlights include:
- Guided runs on some of the World-Famous Flagstaff trails
- Daily interactive talks with Coach Greg McMillan and other World-Class experts on how to become a better runner - topics include training techniques, form drills, injury prevention routines, nutrition and more
- Meals with Coach Greg and your fellow campers (A few meals are on your own so you can explore Flagstaff's dining options, a frequent request of past campers)
- Free time to relax and enjoy the mountain town of Flagstaff, Arizona, shop for souvenirs, etc.
Many campers extend their trip to Flagstaff on the front end or back end of the camp to include tours of the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Las Vegas and many other of the regions' sites.
Is housing included? If not, where do you suggest I stay when I come for the camp?
Housing is not included in the Running Getaway - Flagstaff. We know that many campers have preferences on their stay (types of lodging, rewards program hotels, etc.) and Flagstaff, being the Gateway to the Grand Canyon, has over 70 hotels and inns (including several bed and breakfasts) to choose from. A list of hotels can be found here and we recommend West Flagstaff and Downtown hotels or Bed and Breakfasts which will be closer to where we'll meet for runs and talks.
Is airfare included? If not, what's the best way to get to Flagstaff?
Airfare is not included in the Running Getaway - Flagstaff since many past campers preferred to arrange their own airfare when traveling. Most campers fly into Flagstaff (airport code FLG) or Phoenix (airport code PHX). If you fly into Flagstaff, you can take a taxi to your hotel or rent a car at the airport. If you fly into Phoenix, you can rent a car and drive up to Flagstaff (very scenic drive, by the way) or you can take the van shuttle that runs from the Phoenix airport to Flagstaff. Schedules for the van shuttle are available online.
I'm not a fast runner, is the camp for me?
The adult running camps are for anyone who wants to improve as a distance runner, no matter where you finish in the pack. Coach Greg is known for his ability to help ALL runners and his goal is to help each camper leave with a better idea of how to plan/adjust his/her training for better results.
